Dental Bridges

If you’ve lost one tooth or several adjacent ones, a dental bridge may suit you. This restoration is made of dental crowns fused to either side of a pontic (i.e., an artificial tooth). It works by anchoring onto nearby teeth and filling large smile gaps all at once. However, Dr. Farruggia would have to alter such teeth (or abutments) to fit your bridge. An implant bridge is an exception, though – it wouldn’t require any tooth alteration.

Dentures

Dentures would help you if you’ve lost many non-consecutive teeth. Unlike dental bridges, each one is made of artificial teeth and an acrylic base. Dentures then vary based on whether they’re partial or full. A partial model can only replace a few teeth and depends on a metal framework. Meanwhile, a full denture fits snugly over your gums and restores a whole arch of teeth at once. Whichever type you choose, note that you’ll need time to adjust to your final denture.

Dental Implants

Today, dental implants are the gold standard of tooth replacement. Dentists use these small titanium posts to replace the roots of missing teeth. Once set in your jaw, the implants slowly fuse with it and become permanent parts of your mouth. This process ensures your new teeth will remain secure like natural ones. We further ensure such results by placing the implants entirely in-house. That way, you won’t have to worry about being referred out to a provider that you’ve never met before!
