Restorative Dentistry Olathe

Strengthening Your Weakened Teeth

Dental enamel is the hardest substance in the human body, meaning your teeth are incredibly strong! Although this is the case, it’s still possible that teeth can become worn and damaged with time, resulting in cavities, cracks, and chips. Fortunately, our office uses high-quality materials and the latest technology to repair compromised teeth and protect them from additional concerns. We invite you to view some of the restorative dental services we offer below, and to call our office to schedule an appointment!

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are small, tooth-shaped caps placed over weakened teeth to defend them from further harm. Each cap is made with custom-shaded, durable ceramic that blends seamlessly with adjacent teeth, allowing it to defend your smile and enhance its looks. With routine maintenance, like a good at-home dental hygiene routine and bi-annual checkups and cleanings with Dr. Farruggia, your crown can continue protecting your smile for over a decade.

CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns & Restorations

Traditional dental crowns typically take two visits to place. In contrast, CEREC same-day crowns can be designed, milled, and placed in just one appointment. All it takes is CAD/CAM technology and our in-house milling unit. First, we’ll create a 3D image of your tooth that’s used to design the crown. We then use the milling unit to craft your restoration. After an hour or two, the final dental crown will be ready, and Dr. Farruggia will secure it to your tooth at the very same visit.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Fillings are materials that repair gaps in your tooth enamel. Their main uses are to “fill” the cavities caused by decay and keep teeth stable. Going further, our tooth-colored fillings are made of a special resin. This material allows them to blend seamlessly with your other teeth. Plus, it bonds with the treated tooth to preserve your natural dental structure. As a result, tooth-colored fillings offer a more appealing cosmetic result than their metal counterparts and are more comfortable.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

A full mouth reconstruction is ideal when you must fix many restorative and cosmetic issues at once. It doesn’t stand as a distinct treatment – it’s a set of multiple procedures that restore your smile in its entirety. It can include services like dental bridges, dental implants, teeth whitening, veneers, etc. The actual options used will depend on your needs and treatment plan. Regardless, the reconstruction should end with a whole, functional, and beautiful smile.
